Titanium and Stainless Steel laser-engraved with a beautiful full-color palette.
While at Diversatech, I performed extensive research on laser engraving processes. One result of this research was color engraving. With absolutely no physical effects on the surface of the material (no roughness), I was able to create full-color marks on both Titanium and Stainless Steel. The research was performed on an Epilog Fusion M2 engraver, and involved an in-depth study of the chemical composition of different alloys of Titanium and Stainless Steel.
My favorite part of the entire process is that now, all of the Titanium Valve Covers built and shipped by Diversatech bear both the company’s logo and an American flag (captioned “Proudly Made in America”) in full-color.
