Shibuichi is a loosely-defined alloy of silver and copper. Unlike sterling silver, which is at least 92.5% pure silver, shibuichi has a much higher copper content (up to 75%). The alloy was developed thousands of years ago in Japan and is known for the beautiful colors it can produce.
